I joined SNPhA because I wanted to learn how to serve the underserved as a student pharmacist. To me, being a healthcare professional means ensuring that everyone has access to high quality, affordable care— SNPhA’s leaders and members constantly strive to address the ever-changing needs of an ever-changing national community, and I have learned so much about how pharmacists can contribute to positive health outcomes through clinical practice and patient education. — Kelly Hu, SNPhA President, PY3 |

I joined SNPhA originally because at my undergraduate university, SNPhA played a huge role in recruiting pre-pharmacy students into volunteering events and fun socials. I joined SNPhA after being overwhelmed with all of the organizations and alphabet soup of pharmacy school. I was intimidated by the older students but I felt really welcomed by the PY3s in SNPhA at that time and felt like they really wanted to hear my opinions when I worked with them for projects and committees. — Yue Dong, PY4 |

I joined SNPhA because of the diverse people and personalities that make up our local UNC chapter. I have gotten to meet a lot of interesting individuals not only on the local level but nationally as well. I have been able to expand my pharmaceutical network while serving the underserved. SNPhA to me means helping those who may not always be able to help themselves. I joined SNPhA because it is growing organization that is concerned with the progression of the pharmacy profession, the diversity in the profession, and the access and quality of care for underserved populations. SNPhA provides opportunities for students to give back to the community and gain an array of skills that are valuable in their educational, professional, and personal lives. SNPhA provides the opportunity to see healthcare through so many different lenses.
